Omkoi District

Getting to Omkoi District: Take highway No.108 then turn left at highway no.1099. It takes about 179 kilometers from Chiang Mai downtown. Visitors can catch the white bus(Chiang Mai-Omkoi) from Chang Puek Bus Station at 05.30 a.m. and 01.30 p.m.

Omkoi is the moist hill evergreen forest. This forest is a home of many species of wildlife including sambar deer, barking deer. Some rare species of plants are found such as Kulab Panpi (Rhododendron). There is a viewpoint, which is the origin of Raeg River.
